Help Protect Canada's Boreal Forest and Woodland Caribou

The woodland caribou is one of Canada's national icons. But right now, many herds are under threat as logging and mining push further and further into their boreal forest habitat.

Urge Canadian provincial governments to immediately protect Canada's boreal forest and woodland caribou.

The woodland caribou is one of Canada's national icons. But right now, many herds are under threat, with some hovering on the brink of extinction. The culprits: logging, mining, road-building and other human activities, which are pushing further and further into their boreal forest habitat.

But the boreal forest is far more than the habitat of woodland caribou. Hundreds of First Nation communities call the boreal home and it plays a critical role in regulating the global climate by holding massive amounts of greenhouse gases at bay in its trees and soils. Canada and the world cannot afford to lose this precious natural resource. Something must be done before it's too late.

Urge Canadian provincial governments to immediately protect Canada's boreal forest and woodland caribou.
