The Trump administration just announced that it's rescinding the national monument status of the majestic Bears Ears region in Southern Utah. Tell Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke that you're appalled — and urge him to reverse course and defend the Bears Ears and all of our nation's iconic public lands.
The Trump administration just rescinded the national monument status of the majestic Bears Ears region in southern Utah — a disastrous decision for the future of our public lands.
Composed of 1.35 million acres of public lands near Canyonlands National Park, the Bears Ears region provides drinking water to more than 40 million Americans and has been home to Native American tribes for millennia. Opening this spectacular natural treasure back up to oil and gas drilling, uranium and coal mining, tar sands extraction and other dangers will be devastating.
Tell Interior Ryan Zinke that you’re outraged — and urge him to reverse course and protect the Bears Ears and all of America’s cherished wildlands.
