Thank President Obama for rejecting the Dakota Access Pipeline

In a victory for the Standing Rock Sioux, the Army Corps of Engineers rejected easements allowing the Dakota Access Pipeline to carry dangerous fracked oil under a part of the Missouri River providing drinking water for the tribe and millions of other people. Thank President Obama and the Army Corps, and urge them to conduct a thorough, truthful and timely environmental review as required by law.

Thank President Obama and the Army Corps of Engineers for rejecting the Dakota Access Pipeline

In a major victory for the Standing Rock Sioux tribe and Native American sovereignty, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers rejected an easement allowing the Dakota Access Pipeline to carry dangerous fracked oil under a part of the Missouri River providing drinking water for the tribe and millions of other people. And while this is great news, we must remain vigilant. The pipeline company says it won't reroute the pipeline and vows to carry on as planned, and President-elect Donald Trump supports the project — so we need to keep the pressure on. Please send a note of thanks to President Obama and the Army Corps, urge them to conduct a thorough, truthful and timely environmental review, and demand that they do all they can to prevent pipeline construction from proceeding.
