Auntie Biotic Asks You to Tell KFC: Help Save Antibiotics

Shockingly, 70 percent of all medically-important antibiotics in the U.S. are used on poultry and livestock, not people. Factory farms give antibiotics to chickens that are not even sick, to help them grow faster and survive crowded, unsanitary conditions. The result: the spread of drug-resistant superbugs that are reducing the effectiveness of antibiotics and making infections in people harder to treat. McDonald's, Chick-fil-A, Subway and Taco Bell have pledged to eliminate the overuse and misuse of antibiotics in their chicken. But Kentucky Fried Chicken has not followed suit.

Watch the video from Auntie Biotic, NRDC's new character launched to ratchet up the pressure on KFC. Then sign the petition telling KFC CEO Roger Eaton to slash antibiotic use in their chicken supply chain to save our antibiotics and help save lives. Get the facts on KFC, chicken and antibiotics.
