Don’t let our forests go up in smoke

Clear cut forest

When power plants burn fuels like whole trees, it’s even dirtier than burning coal.

Burning trees for fuel contribute heavily to climate change—and it also destroys one of our best tools to fight it: our forests.

The EPA promised it would analyze and create rules for power plants that burn trees and other biomass. Now we need the agency to finish the job and make sure the biomass energy industry doesn’t make climate change worse.

Tell the EPA to protect our forests and climate and clean up power plants that burn trees.
