In 2013, people in 23 states were sickened by a Salmonella outbreak linked to Foster Farms. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention determined that many of these outbreak strains of Salmonella were resistant to several commonly prescribed antibiotics.
Experts believe antibiotic misuse on industrial farms is contributing to the spread of antibiotic-resistant superbugs. Foster Farms says it uses antibiotics on its chickens, but it won't say which drugs they are using and how.
We should know what's going into the food we're eating. Sign the petition against industrial farm secrecy.

Petition: I'm joining NRDC to protect my health. Experts believe antibiotic misuse on industrial farms is contributing to the spread of antibiotic-resistant superbugs. When industrial farms rely on antibiotics instead of healthier living conditions for the animals, they end up spreading antibiotic resistant bacteria. We have a right to know if industrial farm practices are putting our health at risk.
