Ask European Environment Commission to Heed the Cry for Polar Bear Protection

European Commission bureaucrats are opposing the U.S. proposal to ban the global trade in polar bear parts, which will be voted on at the next meeting of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES) in March 2013. The Commission's opposition is out of step with key European Union member states like Austria, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom and the European Parliament, all of which support the ban.

Tell E.U. Environment Commissioner Janez Potočnik to listen to the people of Europe and their Parliament: End the slaughter of the world's dwindling polar bears!
